Levels of Questions

Level One Questions

Questions that look at basic and straight-forward information. The answer is directly from the text. no inferences or outside information is necessary. this would relate to Bloom's Knowledge level.

Examples:

Level Two Questions

Questions that require additional knowledge and include inferences about information from the text. The answer is normally implied in the text, but is not directly stated. Bloom's Comprehension, Application, Analysis.

Examples:

Level Three Questions

Questions requiring a wider comprehension and an ability to connect diverse elements into a unified whole. The answer is usually not stated or implied in the text. Requires students to go beyond the text into previously learned information or personal experiences. Bloom's Synthesis and Evaluation.
