Applicant profile guide
How to Create and Use an EDJOIN Profile
Create a secure EDJOIN account, complete the major profile areas, prepare documents, and save a realistic job posting for your interview preparation.
Open the official registration page
Select the button below. Keep this guide open in one tab and EDJOIN open in another.
Create your account
Enter a username, your email address twice, and a password that follows EDJOIN's current password rules.
- At least eight characters
- At least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character
- No spaces, no username, and no common words
Do not enter your EDJOIN username or password into this teaching interview toolkit. Store credentials in a secure password manager.
Verify your email
After registration, use the verification link sent to your email. EDJOIN currently states that the link expires after 48 hours. Check spam or junk folders if it does not arrive within 10 to 15 minutes.
Open your applicant profile
After signing in, select your name in the upper-right corner and choose Profile. Complete the profile carefully because information saved there can populate applicable job applications.
Complete the major profile areas
Use accurate, professional information. The exact menu may change, but applicants should be prepared to complete:
- Contact information
- Education and credential information
- Employment and student-teaching experience
- References
- Skills, authorizations, and relevant experience
- Mandatory Employment Disclosure when required
Use your legal and professional information in EDJOIN. In this toolkit, record only the information needed for interview preparation.
Prepare application documents
- Résumé
- Letter of introduction
- Credential or credential-status documentation
- Transcripts when requested
- Letters of recommendation
- Any documents named in the posting
Review every posting separately. A document stored in your profile is not automatically proof that it was attached to a particular application.
Search and save a representative posting
Search by job title, district, city, county, credential area, or ZIP code. Open a realistic posting and copy its URL into the research workspace. Read the qualifications, required attachments, deadlines, and contact information.
Review before applying
- Profile information is current and accurate.
- Required documents are attached to this specific application.
- Names, dates, credential details, and contact information are correct.
- Your letter is tailored to the school or district.
- You saved a copy of the posting and deadline.
